November 2020 General Election
Faith in Place Action Fund sent out this survey to all candidates running for Illinois Senate or House seat in the General Election. The survey asked questions about the candidate's commitment to championing environmental and food justice. Responses were collected and all candidates who committed to championing all of our issues are included below.
March 17th 2020 Primary Elections
In preparation for the 2020 primary election held on March 17th, the Faith in Place Action Fund circulated a questionnaire to all candidates running for State Representative or State Senator in Illinois. This is part of our effort to inform and educate voters about how various candidates respond to the issues most important to us. Specifically, we asked about preventing climate change, promoting job creation and a just economy, advocating for water justice, tackling food justice and scarcity, and supporting the Clean Energy Jobs Act. In addition to the questionnaires, the Faith in Place Action Fund’s Board sat down with candidates for the 13th Senate District. After interviewing both candidates, we are excited to announce that we have endorsed Senator Robert Peters for reelection! Senator Peters has been a faithful advocate for our planet and a champion of environmental justice.
